Making Sense of The Rain

Time has failed, so has rain.
Rain as heavily as you may
Do not mind
sharp bolts and thunders because that way
your everything belongs to the rain.
Pour, pour heavier,
pour to your heart's content.
Pour through window sills,
wall cracks and ceilings
on floors we lie still.
Then drown, drown the tired ones
before sun rises,
to heaven you'd drown us with happiness,
though I was told there'd never be another sunrise.
So take your time.
